Former F.B.I. Director James Comey accused Donald Trump today of lying in order to justify his firing in May. But does that really sound like him?

Comey’s testimony felt at odds with the reality on the ground: Donald Trump doesn’t seem like a liar to us, and we had a hard time believing Comey’s contentious remarks. 

Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee that Trump was lying when he told the public that the F.B.I. was in disarray because of his leadership. Sorry, but, that just doesn’t sound like Donald Trump. He wouldn’t do that.
